Hi My Friends,
This is my All Time Favorite time of the year. I know you've heard me say that before, but it's soooo True. The colors, the meaning, the foods, the gatherings, family, friends, reflections of thanks and Thanksgiving. It definitely keeps me in a positive, good mood no matter what's going on around me. The challenge over at Cooking with Cricut was such a fun one. It's called "Let's Talk Turkey". You get to create projects of your favorite Fall bird. Of course the main one that comes to mind for everyone is indeed the Turkey. I'm no exception to this. I was dying to do a turkey cut from one of my carts. Here is my card.
Recipe:
Cart - Create A Critter
Papers - SEI, DCWV, Recollections
Tools - EK Label Punch, MS Maple Punch, iRock, White Gel Pen, MS Metallic Ink (distressing)
Embellies - Twine, Stickles, Bling
Head on over to CWC and see what the rest of the team has cooked up. Hopefully you feel inspired to join the challenge. It was so easy and super fun making this card that I will be making more to send to a few friends for the holidays. I will also be linking/entering this card into the following challenges:
Celebrate the Occasion - Thanksgiving Project (must use a Punch)
Fantabulous Cricut - Fall Project using colors Red, Orange, Brown
Whimsical Designs - Thanksgiving Themed Card/Project
Wacky Wednesday - Thanksgiving Theme
Crafty Sprouts - Anything Goes
My Sheri Crafts - Be Thankful

CWC - Adopt a Shelter Pet Blog Hop
Hello My Friends,
Welcome to Scrapper in the Making and the CookingWithCricut.com "Adopt A Shelter Pet" Hop! October is National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, but we wanted to honor and celebrate all of our furry friends! If you've come from visiting Heather's Blog at The Hunny Pot you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to hop along with us, you can go to CookingWithCricut.com and start at the beginning.
I used the Famous..."Create A Critter" cart because I couldn't wait to try out my Happy Go Lucky stamps I won. I studded up the collar and made a tag with his paw print. I don't own any pets at this time but I certainly grew up having a few. If I had the room in my home I would certainly adopt one, but for now I can certainly support this cause. Now it's your turn! Link up your purr-fectly wonderful pet-themed project at CookingWithCricut.com . Here are a few guidelines:
Must follow the challenge topic.
Must be a NEW project for this challenge. No back dated posts please.
Must have a link back to this post on your blog.
Must link your project post through Inlinkz and not just your blog.
Must use your Cricut in some capacity.
Must HAVE FUN!
You may gladly combine challenges . . . we love to pile it on TOO!
The Design Team will pick their three favorites and one lucky person will be chosen randomly to win one of the prize packages being offered in this hop. There is also a prize package for just leaving us some love (a comment) on the CWC blog. One catch, those leaving comments MUST be a CWC follower. Each prize winner will receive a $20 gift voucher-download from PaperCraftingWorld.com. The Design Team’s top three will each receive $5.00 gift voucher-download from PaperCraftingWorld.com.
Blog Candy Alert: I will be giving away an Inkadinkado Stamp set. Make sure to comment before EST midnight Tuesday 10/25. I will announce the winner Wednesday morning. Now head on over to Court at Court's Craft Corner to see what they've cooked up for you! Here's the Blog Hop list below in case you get lost along the way. Have Fun & Enjoy! Smooches...

Happy Birthday, I {Heart} U... "Friends to the End"
Hello Friends...
Here is a project that I was working on and thought it would be fitting for two challenges out there. The first on is the well know Peachy Keen (Let's Face It Friday) Challenge - Create a project using animals as your main theme! Tell me what project wouldn't look good with any one of those adorable peachy faces on it. I Soooo Love this company! I had so much fun making this project that I was smiling from ear-to-ear. I will also be entering this into Cricut Cardz Challenge #89 - Make a child's birthday card using something you see in a jungle...monkey, lion, giraffe...etc. I received my newest stamps from Emma at My Creative Time's 9th release and I was sooo excited I just had to use them right away. I thought they fit my card perfectly for what I was going for. **sn: (they arrived the fastest that I ever ordered anything on the internet)** While getting ready to upload my project I also found out that Whimsical Wednesday has a challenge on "Inspiring Words". Well this is also something that incorporated in my card. Wow, I scored a tripple decker with my creation. I had so much fun making this that I can assure you this won't be my last of these kiddie cards. I believe this came out pretty cah-ute if I say so myself...<grin>. Feel free to leave me some comments, I read them all. Smooches...

Happy 2nd Birthday to My Sunshine "Felice Ruby-Ann"
OK, I've been M.I.A. for a while, but for darn good reason. Planning and preparing for my first & only daughter's 2nd Birthday. I want to make sure all her days are special because she certainly does that for me each and every time she looks at me with those beautiful eyes. I had to make quite a few party favors and I didn't get the help I thought I was going to have putting them together so I was up all night in over drive trying to make sure everything was done. This year we decided to take the party to an outside location and let them worry about the setup and clean up. **sn: (That is the BEST idea ever, especially when you're working against time and have a ton of other things on your plate all at once)**. The party was at Monkey Joe's a cool fun place for kids where they can jump around, play games, eat and make new friends. Everyone had a nice time and after all was said and done, I was completely pooped. Pooped I tell ya! I slept and stayed in all day Sunday and my body sure needed it. Here is the progression of all that I made for her party. There's going to be a lot of photos taken, but dang it, it took a lot of time to make so I'm going to post them for all to see. Smooches...
I'm especially PROUD of myself for how my very 1st Rosette came out (see above). I got the idea from Tammy Skinner over at Creative Critterz. She has two videos on it and she made it look so easy... and when I tried it, it actually was. I was soo, soo PROUD of myself. **sn:(I was doing a little happy dance when I finished it. Now that's a sight I'd have to charge you to see...LOL)** I know I'll be doing a lot more of these from now on. I see these becoming some GREAT Grad Gifts to wear for family members at a graduation; just like Tammy showed in her video. Thanks for the wonderful idea Tammy. YOU ROCK GIRLFRIEND!!!
I used several different carts to make these, but I'll have to go back into my gypsy to remember which ones. I'm sure some of them are obvious to most, which one I used. All in all everyone had a great time. Thanks goodness I made extra favors, because for some reason the Adults wanted one too. I might be mistaken, but I thought it was a kids party (lol). I know my guests and regardless of how many kids, I have to prepare for them also. Next year her party is going to have a much shorter guest list. LOL! Hope you Enjoyed! Goodnight, Smooches...

Congrats GRAD! & Design Team Call at CRICUT 360º
Hi Everyone,
It's me again, crafting in the wee hours. Why do we do this to ourselves especially for someone like me who has to get up and go to work in the mornings. Anyhew, it's that time of year again where there are many graduates that I know this year from family, friends and colleagues. There also Father's Day creeping up, but I'll take one task at a time. I've been working on some Graduate cards and will have more to show in a few days as I complete them. I figured I would at least give a taste of what I've done thus far. I also learned through another blog friend of mine about a First Design Team Call over at CRICUT 360º. Here's the skinny: a card or a layout with LIME GREEN and a BUG in it
What a co-inky-dink that my first card will fit the design challenge specs they call for. It must be destiny. Well here is my 1st Graduation Card. I won't say who I'll be giving it to yet because of friends and family that may read this. They'll just have to be surprised. Plus I don't want to start any type of bidding war over the cards of who wants which one. **sn: the parents are just as bad as the kids, putting claim on everything I post or make and they weren't even thought about when I made it...lol.** Seriously, I Love them all for them loving what I do and keeping me inspired. Hope you like it to. I would love to read some of your comments. Thanks for all the love I've received from my fellow scrappers out there. I learn and grow from you. Smooches...
