I'm A Winner at My Creative Time!!!!

Thank You LORD and
YES, I Still Believe in Santa!!!
OHhhhh My Goooodnesss!! I can't believe IT! I'm crying tears of JOY right now like you wouldn't believe. Emma at My Creative Time had a FAB giveaway of the NEW Cricut E2...and Guess What!!!   I WON, I WON!!!
I wanted one sooooo BAD (or even the cameo) and I know I really couldn't afford one at this time.(because I was laid off my job a few months ago-I share this for the 1st time) God & Santa have answered my wonderful Prayers! Bless You Emma for this wonderful opportunity and Give-away. I'm So, So Sooo Thankful!! I'm still can't believe it. This will be the BEST Wrapped present under my tree. As I type this my little 2yr old thinks my tears she sees is because I'm sad. She's patting me on my arm and saying "It's Ok Mommy don't be sad". I look at her and smile the while giving her the Biggest Hug and tell her, "I know my sweet baby, Mommy is very Happy". She responds: OKAY Mommy, Be Happy!! Wow, what a GREAT WAY to Start off my day! This is surely a Thankful Thanksgiving Holiday. One I won't soon forget for long while. I don't want to soak up my keyboard so I'll close out for now. Love, Love, Love You Smooches!! :-)

Inking It Up Crazy - "Fun Fold Card"

Hi There My Friends,
I'm still hanging in here, with this coughing, sniffling, sneezing, sinus aching, chest congested illness of mine, but I'm determined to keep it moving. I don't have that much energy so I end of stopping and starting a lot of things before it gets completed.
Today at Inking It Up Crazy, us girls had tons of fun with this challenge of creating a "Fun Fold" type of card. I've been wanting to try so many that I've seen out there. I was inspired by Creations with Christina when she showed how to do the "Diamond Fold" card. You can check her video out Here. I'm soo into the Holidays each year (both Thanksgiving & Christmas). No matter how I'm feeling, these holidays especially make me SMILE and just Warms My Heart. Here is my Fun Fold - Diamond Fold Card. It was so fun to make that I know I'll be doing a few more.
Head on over to Inking It Up Crazy to see what the rest of the Design Team has come up with. I'm sure you'll be inspired to create and venture into creating you own Fun Fold Card. For my first time I think this came out very pretty. At least I think so anyway. Of course I'm biased, but I love to hear your comments too. I will also be entering this project into Dilo En Espanol Challenge #4 - "Must use Twine" Smooches...

Cooking with Cricut Wednesday - Let's Talk Turkey

Hi My Friends,
This is my All Time Favorite time of the year. I know you've heard me say that before, but it's soooo True. The colors, the meaning, the foods, the gatherings, family, friends, reflections of thanks and Thanksgiving. It definitely keeps me in a positive, good mood no matter what's going on around me. The challenge over at Cooking with Cricut was such a fun one. It's called "Let's Talk Turkey". You get to create projects of your favorite Fall bird. Of course the main one that comes to mind for everyone is indeed the Turkey. I'm no exception to this. I was dying to do a turkey cut from one of my carts. Here is my card.
Recipe:
Cart - Create A Critter
Papers - SEI, DCWV, Recollections
Tools - EK Label Punch, MS Maple Punch, iRock, White Gel Pen, MS Metallic Ink (distressing)
Embellies - Twine, Stickles, Bling
Head on over to CWC and see what the rest of the team has cooked up. Hopefully you feel inspired to join the challenge. It was so easy and super fun making this card that I will be making more to send to a few friends for the holidays. I will also be linking/entering this card into the following challenges:
Celebrate the Occasion - Thanksgiving Project (must use a Punch)
Fantabulous Cricut - Fall Project using colors Red, Orange, Brown
Whimsical Designs - Thanksgiving Themed Card/Project
Wacky Wednesday - Thanksgiving Theme
Crafty Sprouts - Anything Goes
My Sheri Crafts - Be Thankful

Throwback Thursday - "Kid Friendly" Theme

Hi My Friends,
It's Throwback Thursday time with Emma at My Creative Time. The challenge is to:
*** Use a "Kid Friendly" cartridge, such as any "Disney" , "Create a Critter", "Nursery Tales", "A Child's Year" etc... ***
MUST BE A "Kid Friendly" THEME project of YOUR choice!!!
Well because there are so many little children growing up in our family I decided to do a card for one of my great-nephews. I'm always doing something for my nieces and great-nieces because it's so easy and fun to do things all girly. This time I didn't want to leave the little boys out and I decided to make a card for one of them. This card was created with the Paper Doll Dress Up cart. The sentiments are of course from My Creative Time's stamps sets "Inspiring Words & Encouraging Quotes". The banner flag was created with a PTI die. I added some ribbon to the scalloped punches and it still looks like a boy's card. I really like how cute this came out. This is certainly encouraging and inspiring for any growing boy who dreams of being a Super Hero. You still have some time to join in. The winner of her challenge will win the entire November Release set. What a prize huh? I'm so loving this month's set. Check out My Creative Time's sneak peaks going on all this week through Thursday. Smooches...

CDACPC6 - Final Progressive Challenge #6 1 of 3

Hi There My Friends,
I can't believe the Final CDAC-Progressive Challenge #6 is Here! I almost didn't complete this one, but I mustard up enough energy to get it done. I've been a bit under the weather lately and I'm trying every remedy I know to keep it (what ever it is) from taking over completely. I believe it may be a combination of things (strep throat, chest cold, sinus ache) and I'm doing my best to keep my little two year old from getting even the slightest bit of it. It's hard being a SAHM for a bit, but so far she's doing great. I'm am miserable to say the least. I am one that does not get sick very often if ever. Anyhew, before I cough my chest open and head off, let me get in these few posts. The theme for this time around is "Winter Wonders". These were some awesome digital stamps to work with . I will have a link to the artist under each post. Here is my first one.
This 1st image for the CDACPC6 is from Inked Treasures (inkedtreasures)
All I can say is that I am definitely going to have to take up some copic lessons. I love how this came out, but I also wish I knew how to incorporate those shading techniques and other tips and tricks I've seen. It will be practice, practice, practice from here on out. Hope you like too. Smooches...

CDACPC6 - Final Progressive Challenge #6 2 of 3

Here is my 2nd entry for the CDACPC#6. I had fun playing with this image and couldn't help but bling it up a bit. My thought behind this one was that he was Santa's helper in flying around helping to deliver gifts or flying around to see who's naughty or nice (lol).

This 2nd image for the CDACPC6 is from Ellephantastic (ELLE)

CDACPC6 - Final Progressive Challenge #6 3 of 3

This last image I used, I can see myself using this a lot for tags or accents on layouts. I was glad to see something with the use of candles. As you can see I tried my best to incorporate some copic coloring techniques. This image will sure get a workout from me over the holidays. I hope I get better soon. I just don't have that much energy to sit in my craft area and I'm not liking it one bit. I hope you enjoy and take time to come over to CDAC and see what going on over there. This challenge was soooo much fun. I'm glad I did at least try and get some practice in on coloring even if I don't win. It would be so awesome if I did though. My 10 little copics won't get me far as I'd like (lol).
This 3rd image for the CDACPC6 is from Daisy Doodles (daisydoodles)

MAG Challenge #52 - Simply Charmed pg75

Hi My Friends,
I'm still here in case you were wondering. Just trying to organize, organize, organize. My craft area was getting way out of control. It was taking me more time to find things than actually making something. **sn: that ever happened to you? **. Well I'm glad it is Fri-Day! Today's MAG Challenge  has the Design Team pulling out our Simply Charmed cart for pg75. I love this cart, so I knew no matter what page it was, I could create something fun. This week I had a little help. My niece who's has somewhat of a paper passion like I do, wanted to help me with my card, but she didn't want to let me know what she was going to do. So after I finished making the card, she wanted to add something to it, but I wasn't allowed to watch. Ok, I was very nervous because I didn't want to have to do another project if I didn't like what she did, but luckily for me I always cut out two of the same project I'm working on so that I can have an extra or just in case I mess up. Bravely and a little apprehensive I walked away. I was told I could see it when it dries... Uh ohhh my heart was about to panic, but I told myself that she is very creative for her age at 11 so I'll trust her and besides I do have another cut to work with if needed. This was the final result of my/our project.
She felt the Party Hat accessories needed some sparkle. When I saw it, I couldn't help but smile. I think she did a pretty good job with her added touch. I added some faux stitching to compliment her sparkle. Head on over to MAG and see what the rest of the team has done for some inspiration. We would love, love to have YOU join in on our challenges. There's always a Great Prize in store. Just make sure you read the details of our MAG Challenges as they are very different, but interesting from any other out in Scrap-Blog land. Smooches...
I will also be entering this into the following challenge:
Birthday Sundaes - "Birthday card and include birthday wording on your card front"
Wacky Wednesday - BBB "Buttons, Bling, and Brads" must use one or all of these.
I already promised her that if this card wins any challenge that I would give the entire prize to her.

It's Harvest Time at Cooking w/Cricut

Hi My Friends,
I've missed you all. I'm back now from having a wonderful time with friends I haven't seen in years. It was my class reunion from my Alumni, Bethune-Cookman University. We had a blast and are sooo looking forward to the next one. It was sooo good to take some time off for ME! (No Hubby, No Child-this was my first time away from her...I called a lot, my mom almost stopped answering my calls (lol) )
Today at Cooking with Cricut the design team is cooking up a Harvest. We were asked to create projects to include: Fruits and/or Cornucopia in honor of Harvest Time. I love this time of the year. Fall is my FAVORITE Season by far, the colors, family time, baking, shopping...etc. I literally become a kid all over again. I created my project using the "Celebrate with Flourish" Lite Cart. It was a great fit for me because I know I wanted to use the Cornucopia right off the bat. I love how this came out. I'll be making a few to send out for Thanksgiving and this will surely be one of them.
Recipe:
Cart: Celebrate with Flourish
Paper: Recollections, DCWV
Tools: MS (Maple Leaf & Arches Punch), EK Success Label Punch, Inkadinkado (Sentiment)
Embellies: Stickles, Twine, PTI (Button)
On this cart there are not that many layer, but I wanted mine to be as colorful as a real cornucopia so I made several different cuts to show various colors. I drew in the grapes on the cut to give more dimension to them. Don't forget to head on over to Cooking with Cricut to see what the rest of the Chefs have cooked up for your inspiration. We'd love to have you join in on this challenge. Can't wait to see what you create. Smooches...

Take special care and I'll be back soon. Smooches...

Art Philosophy Showcase at Cooking with Cricut

Hello My FAB Friends,
I'm so excited to be sharing with you today my showcase of the Art Philosophy cartridge. I'm showcasing this over at "Cooking with Cricut".
You can only get this through a Close To My Heart (CTMH) Rep. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this cartridge. When it arrived I kept in a special place away from my other carts for now to make sure I get some immediate use of it. Well that time has come and let me tell you, I had to pull myself away from my Cricut. I couldn't or didn't want to stop cutting. I must admit that when I first went through this cart. I immediately thought of Christmas. This cartridge is a definite must have for your Cricut Collection. It can serve sooo many purposes for several different occasions all in one. I can't say enough about it so journey with me as I share a few of the many cuts I found interesting to do.
For my first cut, I created this card using the card feature. I really love the card feature on this cart and couldn't help but thinking, yes I want to do a window-mock card. The cards on this cart are soooo easy to follow. I used several different papers (a recollections stack, DCWV, SU) and the stamp on this one is from PBD - Christmas Wishes. Ribbon is from Michael's.
I really love how this card came out. I popped dotted the frame on the background layer to make the look of the Tree in a window. The sentiment is from PBD-"Christmas Wishes". I did some distressing to the inside frame and tree. This is my favorite and I will definitely be making more of these.
Similar to card one. I loved the play on this card and I gave it more sparkle with the choice of papers. I tell you this Cart will be getting a good work out for the holidays. There are several more card features to enjoy on it. The sentiment is from PBD - Christmas Wishes. I also used ribbon from Michael''s and added some twine.
Now I'm moving onto Tags. See I told you I had Christmas on my mind with this cart, but it can be for so many other uses as well. Even Home Decor. I haven't explored that yet. I Love this simple yet cute tag. The Tag features are AWESOME! The sentiment is from MPS - Winter Punnies. I did some distressing on the edges. I cut out the snowflake. Distressed it a little then added some Martha Stewart glitter to sparkle it up.
Aren't these tags Fun? Who can think of Christmas without a hanging stocking. This too was simple to assemble. This cart has it all and the layers are soooo easy. Mass producing would not be a problem at all. The sentiment is from MCT - All Around Christmas. I couldn't help but give this some sparkle too with stickles and Martha Stewart glitter pens.
Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, How lovely are thy colors. This one I think is my favorite of the tags. I used my iRock to glue the colored gems as the decor for the tree. I put stickles on the star and around the frame of the tag. Sentiment is from MCT - All Around Christmas.
If you don't have this cart, I suggest you Run... don't walk and find your nearest Close to My Heart (CTMH) Rep and check this off your Christmas List. Using this cart was so much fun, I couldn't stop cutting. I want to try out every cut and I've never said that before about any cart. This will certainly be getting me through my Christmas projects this year. (**sn: I have to make cards for me and my mom this year.**) I could spend all day showing you this cart, but I won't hold you any longer. I know you have other blogs to visit besides me. Thanks so much for taking the time to come by. Over at Cooking with Cricut, we have some Fun Challenges and Great Inspiration there for you. Check out what's been cookin' over at Cooking with Cricut.  Hope you enjoyed this CWC-Showcase. Smooches...

Cookies, Cookie Monster and Clocks...

It's Design Team day at Cooking with Cricut today. This weeks theme is to create a project with Cookies, Cookie Monster and/or Clocks. For my project I used the following carts: My Community, Stamping and Sesame Street Font. I focused on the "Clock" as my main design for this challenge.
I took two photos because I noticed the glitter pen I used on the letters didn't show up so well in the first one. This card looks so much more sparkly in person. I love how it turned out. Head on over to CWC and see what other inspiration the rest of Chefs have cooked up for you.  We'd love to see what you come up with.
On another note, I never heard from the previous winner for the "Adopt a Shelter Pet Blog Hop" so I had to draw another winner via random.org. The New Winner for the Adopt a Shelter Pet Blog Hop is...

Gratitude/Thankful

Hi My Friends,
I'm getting back on track now with my crafting after that brutal of a test I took last week. Things are starting to level out. (**sn: don't know how long that will last, but I'll enjoy it while I can **). Anyhew, if you're knew here, let me say "Welcome New Friend". Feel free to come around more often. It's Design Team day over at Inking It Up Crazy and we are posting projects that represent the theme of  "Gratitude/Thankful". Here is a layout that I did to put my daughter's pictures in from last year's Thanksgiving. I really need to get on the ball with my scrapbooking (**sn: who doesn't? **) because after doing this one, I feel like I've lost my mojo a little. I was stuck just looking at the blank page for way too long before I finally starting doing something with it. Even during creating I was still stumped with what to do. Ugghh, anyhew it's my own fault. I used the Thanksgiving & Fancy Frames carts. I hope you like what I came up with. I'm a first time Mom and I'm Sooo Thankful for My Little Sunshine. I treat everyday as a precious moment with her.
I did a lot of distressing with T. Holtz inks to the layout page all around the sides. (forgive me for not remembering which ones). Head on over to Inking It Up Crazy and see what the rest of the ladies have come up with. There is definitely some creations there to inspire you. Smooches...
