Pattern Weaving

Happy Friday Everyone!
I've had this pattern in my head for quite a while now and finally decided to put thought to paper last night. I used various patterned papers from:
DCWV - The GUY Stack
k*i Memories - Classic Patterns
Best Occaisions - ?? (can't remember the name)
Recipie:
I cut two, 1/2" strips of patterned paper from each set at 4 1/4" length. I then proceeded to weave the strips into one another in an alternating manner, very carefully, until I got them all together and I then adhered it to my A2 Kraft Card Base. I used EK Success Punch with DCWV stack on the "smile" portion. Inked up the edges, as well as the tips of the strips, and did some stitching around the card base. Hope you like it. I'll be trying this a lot more often and hopefully getting . Smooches...

Momo's Got Followers? ...Link Up

MOMO... You are my Friend to the End! What a Beautiful, Awesome, Thoughtful things you are doing for us Blogger Newbies. I'm sure through this there will be many friendships made near and across the miles. I thank everyone in advance for taking the time to visit my blog and becoming a follower, if you so choose. Here's the info on her "Got Followers?" post:
 I decided to do a "Link Your Blog" thingy for my fellow bloggy friends that have less than 200 followers.

So here is the Game Plan:

-If you have less than 200 followers, link your blog below!
(Remember if you get new followers, follow them back!)

-If you have more than 200 followers, visit some of the blogs below and be inspired!!!
(Make sure to write somewhere on your comment "Momo sent me" to win a prize!)

 In addition to Momo's "Link Your Blog", I want to also point out something I stated during my Very First Blog Post concerning a Giveaway!! (read below...)

{...Anyhew, I figured if I'm going to be doing this blog thing, than what better way to start things off than with a Give-Away... Yaaaay!! (Since I never seem to win on anyone else's blog...Ughh! ***(sn: I think that Random.org is FIXED!...just kidding hmm....lol) ***(sn: If anyone else out there would like to sponsor a giveaway on my blog, I would be soooo honored and thankful. Just Contact Me)

OK, here's the scrappy... After reaching 100+ followers I will have a Give-Away for 1-Week for each day of the Week. That's 7 chances to win. Each day will be something different so check back on all 7 days to increase your chances. All winners will be chosen using Random.org of course, I don't want to be accused of picking favorites ;-). So hurry up and invite your friends and fellow followers on over here. ...etc.}

Birthdays are Nature's way of telling us to Eat More Cake...

Hi Everyone,

I am soooo proud of myself. I've almost gotten my craft organization finished. Just a little more touches here and there and a little more storage space savers to go. I almost think I'm making things too organized. I almost don't want to touch anything and move it out of place for fear I'll mess it up again. Hey, who am I kidding that what we scrappers do...lol!

Anyhew, one of my co-workers has a birthday coming up and I almost forgot about it. **sn: I try to tell people..."My Head Bad", but they don't listen**. I came home and thought what could I do. Buying a card would be totally Out Of the Question!!! Not from a True Sworn Scrapper like myself. **sn: Sometimes I think this talent of ours can be a curse, now everyone will expect a hand-made card or craft of some sort...NOT! LOL!***

OK, I'm rambling now. Here are a few pictures of what I came up with. I won't spoil the surprise on what I gave them, but I'm sure it will come in handy. My intentions were to make something quick, **sn: for some reason my thoughts of a project is always quick, but the task at hand always seems to be a little longer than planned** then I realized I didn't have a bag for the gift either. Luckily for me I bought these set of kraft bags from Michael's that come in a bulk of 13. Whew; boy was that a smart purchase. I've had them for a little while now, sooo I made a matching Gift Bag & Card set.

Recipie:
Papers: Bazzil Basics "Bling", k*i memories (patterned paper), Recollections
Ribbon: Michael's $1 Bin
Flowers: Recollections, Prima Flowers, Mini Flowers $1 bin at Joann's
Embellies: Stickles (candles), EK Punch (candles), Bling (on bag & envelope),
Sentiment: Fiskars Collection "Make a Wish Quotes", Stampology (envelope), Inkadinkado
Cuttlebug: Happy Birthday
Ink: Martha Stewart (inked edges of card and HB label on bag), Embossed inside of card
Card = Standard A2 w/layers @ 1/4in smaller
Bag = Patterned Paper cut at 7 1/4" x 7 3/4", Solid cut at 2" x 8"

I had Fun making this and will be doing a lot more sets like these. Hope you like what I came up with. It's late, so Goodnight all. Smoochezzzzzz...

Birthday Mailbox & Card & "Think Spring"

Hey yall, my Mom asked me to whip up something really quick for her to mail as a Birthday gift to her sister. She really like the mailbox I made her and my dad for Valentine's Day. Anyhew, in the midst of my mess. Seriously I'm starting to think I'm a scrap hoarder or something **sn: I know I'm not alone in this, so maybe I'm ok after all**. My Aunt loves butterflies like I do, so I did something really quick that I'm sure she'll love. Hope yall like it too. .Uh oh, I can't belive I'm saying this, but I didn't even use my cricut or gypsy for any of it.

Again I was working on short notice. I'll see what I can remember of the recipe:
Papers = DCWV (Blossom Butterflies), Recollections
White Prima Flowers = Recollections (inked up the edges)
Embellies = K & Company (Butterflies, Cake, Presents, Flowers)
Bling = (can't remember... Michael's multi-pak?)
Ribbon = Joann's
Stamps = Peachy Keen "Happy Lashes Assortment", Michael's $1 Stamp [Happy Birthday]

It was also suggested by a new friend and follower, Linda over at http://www.lindacreativity.blogspot.com/ that I enter this into her sister's challenge on her blog at http://www.pattilynncreations.blogspot.com/. Over at  CREATIVE SISTERS MONDAY CHALLENGE #3 - THINK SPRING!!!  we were asked to make something/anything that says... "Spring". I think these butterfiles above of my Card and Mini-Mailbox fit the bill. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks for stopping by. Smooches...

I hope this is a first of many to come...hint, hint ;-). Anyhew let's see if I can follow the directions on how this Blog Award goes. I'm supposed to Pick 8 other fellow bloggers to honor with this award. **sn: I feel that there are way more than 8 I can name and their sites are waaaay better than mine.
