Love, Love, Love...

Hi My Friends,
I here with another card. I wanted to challenge myself in making a single layer card. Believe me it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be (I'm so used to layering something), but I like how it turned out. Please forgive some of the photos. I couldn't get the best pics of this. Taking pics at night is not the best. I'm going to need more light or I'll have to craft at night and take pics in the AM. Hmmm... Not! I'll make it work. Over at CAS-ual Fridays, bloggers were asked to create a Clean and Simple (CAS) card based on the color combo. Here's the card I came up with; All in One Layer.
LimeAqua  - Navy
The stamps are from MCT 100% Sweetness set. I heat embossed the "LOVE" stamp. I use Stampin' Up inks and added some bling. I felt it needed another added touch and I made some score lines along the side. That's it and I just LOVE It! Scrap you later...

Anything Goes...

Hello My Friends,
It's ME again. Bet you didn't think you'd hear from me twice in one night. Well I said, "I'll scrap you later" and it's now later for me...lol. Anyhew, I have another challenge I need to get in for tonight's deadline. I really had fun making this card. I actually made two versions of it, but I'll save that one for later to use on another post. Here's my card. And if I must say so myself...."Hot Dog, I think it's Ca-Ute"!
I created this card for the "Anything Goes" challenges over at:
Peachy Keen Challenge - Anything Goes
Celebrate the Occasions - Anything Goes
Cardz TV - Anything Goes
Recipe:
Cart: Block Party (Hot Dog)
Papers: DCWV pattern paper, Recollections
Tools: PKS - Wide Eyed Kids & April SKOTM, Studio G (Alpha letters), MS - Metallic Craft Ink, Momento
Embellies: Brads, PTI Buttons, Jute Twine
I love these types of challenges. It takes some of the pressure off of having to decide what to create to fit the challenge criteria. That's it for me tonight. I'll be scrappin' you later for sure.

Wedding Bliss...

Hi There Friends,
I've had a busy weekend but fun nonetheless. It was my Mom's Birthday on Saturday (7/28) and my Dad's is Monday (7/30). Yep, they're both Leos and they still manage to make it through 51 (going on 52) years of marriage..lol. Well it's Sunday evening and I've washed, cooked, cleaned, entertained my energized 3yr old, snuggled with hubby a little and now as the evening winds down, I find time for one of my pamper passions..."crafting". Ahhhh, So Relaxing.... Enough of that. Let me get down to my project for tonight. I created this card for the challenge going on over at Fantabulous Cricut - "Wedding Bliss". I'm glad I got the chance to create it because I'll need it for a couple's Anniversary that's coming up.
The papers is DCWV and the sentiment is from MCT - Gift Card Sentiments. I embossed with Ranger Super Fine Silver embossing powder and embellished with some silver & black pearls. I thought it needed a splash of color so I popped the red heart on there from my stash. Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by. Scrap you later...

Life's A Beach

Heeeey My Friends,
Wowza! Can you believe it! I'm back with another post. That makes 3 in one day. I can't believe it myself. Well, as long as the juices keep flowing, I'll just go with the flow. I'm still practicing my coloring. I'm learning that if you don't keep it up then you won't get better at it. I don't know anything about the proper techniques to use, but I darn show know how to color in the lines. That's all that counts for me right now...lol. Anyhew, here is my colored digi image which I got from Sassy Studio Designs - "Beach Resort Sassy".I'm entering this into the following challenges:
Sassy Studio Designs (DTBST) - "Hit the Beach Challenge" [Oops Missed this one, looks like the Inlinkz closed a little earlier than 11:59est which is what I thought]
Brown Sugar Challenge - "Black & White with a Splash of Color"
The Scrapbooking Queen - "Anything Goes...create a card with a Digi Image"
Jackson's Digital Expressions - "Anything Goes..."
The sentiments are from Pink by Design - "Flirty Girl" & "Shop-A-Holic", Docerela Creations - "Summertime". Hope you like. I have a lot more in store. Scrap you later...

Oh Happy Day...

Hey There My Friends,
Thanks for coming back again today. If this is your first time here...Welcome, Welcome, Welcome! I hope you visit more often. I'm here with another card that kept me up waaaay past my bedtime last night, but I was determined to get this technique down and I wanted to try out this new product.
My project for today will be entered into the following challenges:
Hero Arts, A Blog Named Hero - "Inspired by Hero Arts Artist"
CAS-ual Fridays - "Back in Black"
Brown Sugar Challenge - "Black & White with a Splash of Color"
This design of mine was inspired by none other than the Ah-Mazingly Ubber-Ubber Talented... Jennifer McGuire of Jennifer McGurie Ink, who is a Hero Arts' Design Artist. Here is the link from which I drew my inspiration - "How -To Video: Thin Glitter Die Cuts". This lady is Awesome and she just had a baby and still has time to craft and teach online card classes. You're my Hero Arts SHe-ro Jennifer. Anyhew, I had to watch the video over and over until I felt I was finally ready to try it. The "Oh Happy Day" is a new die-line from Simon Says Stamp with the script writing done by Kristina Werner (another Fantabulously Talented Lady). The black background was done with the Market Street Stamps' - Argyle background stamp which I clear embossed. I also added a little Hero Arts touch with the "Everyday Sentiments" stamp set using the (XOXO). I added the hearts using Stampin' Up's Heart-to-Heart punch, used my Martha Stewart's, Crystal Fine glitter (it's about time I had a use for it...lol) and colored of the letters with my Bic Sharpie markers for my splash of color. Next time I'll have to try a craft like this during the early hours of the day. I made it to work somehow, but could barely keep my eyes open or focused. Until next time, scrap you later...zzzzZZZ! (lol)

Just My Cup of TEA...

Hi My Friends,
Yes, it's me again. I can't tell you all how glad I am to be crafting again. It's made things for me a lot easier to handle and gives me time to really think out things as I'm crafting. I here today to submit t his card for two challenges:
Blog-hop-inspiration
Here is my card and take on these two challenges. All paper is Papertrey Ink (PTI) except for the white and background layer. The pattern paper and sentiment are from Simon Says Stamp (SSS) July Stamp Kit. The image is from Market Street Stamps (MSS) - "Enjoy Today" which was stamped with Simply Chartreuse ink from PTI. I did the some custom scoring on the layers of the card. and a heart for some dimension and added a touch of stickles for some bling.
I think I'll be making a few more of these in different variations. I love how this came out. Until next time; Scrap you later...

Hello Sunshine...

Hi Everyone,
I'm back with another post this week. Just something quick I whipped up to get the idea I had from my head onto paper. This card is for the challenge over at Wobble Wednesday's - Use a SUN or the Color Yellow.
I used MSS - "Here Comes the Sun" background stamp (same as the one in my previous card below this post) with Tim Holtz distress ink in Mustard Seed. The sentiment is from Ali Edwards' - "Bring on the Sun" stamp set. Of course I used a PKS stamp for the face from Wide Eyed Kids. Added some bling and white embossing to sentiment, distressed tips of the sun and Voila! Hope you like it. I love reading your comments. It's the motivation that keeps us all crafting and wanting to share what we've done. Enjoy your day...

Gettin' My Paint On...

Hello Friends,
I'm back with another challenge that I've always been fond of, but never got around to participating as much as I'd like. Well things are a changing...(lol). Over at Market Street Stamps (love every inch of their stamps) they have a "Paint the Town Color Challenge". I love their challenges like these. Here is the color challenge we were given.
Here is my take on the challenge:
I am also entering this into Paula's (She's a Proud 1st Time Mommy) Wacky Wednesday Challenge - Make a Pocket Card/Layout. Pardon the lighting on these, it looks much better in person. It was late at night and  my lamp was not working in favor with these colors..(lol). Until next time, scrap ya later...

A little T.Holtz Happy Mail...

Hey All,
Just wanted to chime in really quick since this is my first time showing a little haul (I have plenty more to share-approx. 3-4mo worth...lol). Anyhew, I was soooo Excited when I went to my mailbox and found these beauties waiting for me. I've seen several demonstration with them and I can't wait to play. Here are my Lovely, Luscious Tim Holtz Distress Markers...Yeaaaaahhh!
In case you're counting(lol), I have two of the "Picket Fence", but I didn't get the Tumbled Glass or Vintage Photo as they were out of stock :-(. I'll be back though (wink). I picked mine up from "Oh My Crafts". I bought them all individually and got them much cheaper, plus they had a coupon code. Gotta Love those. Now I don't own all of the Distress Inks, but I do have all the specialty season ones. **sn: (I'm such a hoarder for sets of something)**. Because these markers are so versatile I figured this would be more my price range than getting copics (I only have a hand-few; mainly for skin tones). I'll be back over this weekend with a lot more projects I'm working on. Hope you all have a Fantabulous Weekend! Thanks so much for continuing to stop by.

Not so Rusty...

Hi Everyone,
I'm here with a quick post to share that, I'm not as Rusty as I thought. It's been quite a while since I've done challenges. I was soooo Surprised and Happy to receive an email yesterday from Ashley over at "Made Especially For You". I made the Top 3 spot, chosen by the Design Team. This is some great encouragement and made my day. Just wanted to share. You should check out these challenges and join in with the rest of us. I'll be back there for sure. Here's my proudly displayed badge that I was given to show off (lol).
I'm still crafting away and also taking the Online Card Class - "Stretch Your Stamps" host by Kristina Werner & Jennifer McGuire along with other special guests. This class is Ahhh-Mazing. Learning so much and you will be seeing some of the techniques that I'm learning throughout my crafting projects. Have a Happy, Scrappy, Crafting Day... :-)

Forever...

Hi My Blog Pals,
Yes, it's really ME. I'm here today again with another post for a few challenges out there. For those of you who may be new here...Welcome! I hope you come again and again and again. I love having visitors that turn into Blogger Pals/Friends and better yet, Followers. This card is simple, but elegant; I think it came out just like I wanted it too, even while fidgeting with my 3 year old. Let me know your thoughts.

This particular card will be for the following challenges which are a first for me entering on these Fabulous Blogs that I've been following for some time now. One is a Color Challenge and the other a Sketch Challenge. **(sn: for some odd reason I have a difficult time with sketch challenges when they should be the easiest to do)

Krafty Girls - Color Splash Challenge "Black & White with a Burst of Color of your choice".
Made Especially For You - Sketch Challenge
Have a wonderful weekend... ;-)
