SITM Update...

Hello My Friends,
At least I hope you are still my friends...<smile> Wouldn't you know that just when I think I have things planned out what I want to do and when I want to do it...there goes that thing called "LIFE" getting in the way again. I haven't even been home long enough to get a good nights sleep let alone...craft or even organize. My parents car broke down and they live almost 30min away so on evenings when picking up my daughter, sometimes I need to run errands for them or they need to use the car. Then on weekends I've been up early to drive to other commitments,  appointments, parents house or errands that needed to be taken care of. The shuffle of these few days and past weekend left me with a mounting headache where I couldn't almost see straight and I never really had that before. I am looking forward to this weekend because I only have two things to get out for on Saturday...(hopefully). My apologies for not having things here when I said I would,(I don't like disappointing you), but I didn't want to just throw some pictures up here that weren't presentable or organized. I will get around to doing this because, there is just waaaay tooo much stuff in my craft area for me to find any descent flat surface to craft.
In the meantime, I did however come across some cards that I never got to share with you all during the holidays. I was crafting like a Mad-Scrapper due to last minute card requests and my own personal gift ideas and cards. Just thinking back on it now I'm get a little upset with myself all over again because I never got around to taking pictures of everything before it left my house and hands...ughhhh!!!
Anyhew, here's a trip down memory lane of what I was able to snag a snap shot of before they left for someone else's home...enjoy!
I really enjoyed using those ornament dies from MCT, this helped me with a lot of mass producing cards along with some Christmas stamps from Hero Arts. I truly miss you all and my crafting more than you all will ever know. I honestly wish there was a true and safe way for cloning...(lol). I am determine to get back here soon and more often. I only hope you understand and will still be around when I do. Big Warm Hugs & Smooches...

From Stash... To Treasure

Hello There My Scrappy Friends...
If you've heard the term... "From Trash to Treasure", you usually know that it's pretty much summed up to someone find a great use or value from something another person had no use for anymore. Well, hopefully you've derived from my title something similar. While going through my "Clear the Clutter" Phase, I'm coming a cross a lot of stuff that I've purchased over the past that I either... haven't used, won't use or partially used and haven't used again. This brings me to a solution of ..."From Stash......to Treasure". Where many of you will have the opportunity to take these items off my hands and give them a better useful home. These items will be available for purchase in various composed groups, I just need time to get all of my photos ready for posting. Here are a few house cleaning rules: I will not divide or re-mix any group of items. How they are shown is how they will be sold (+shipping cost). I will be using USPS for shipping all items. International sales are welcome to purchase and I am willing to incur some of the cost of the postage based on the total purchase. I am also thinking of having one or two mystery boxes of items for purchase as well. Believe me, these will be well worth having in someone's happy crafty home.
From STASH...
(click on image to see larger)
Above are some shots of my craft area/office (sorry about the little blur) where the Clutter Clearance has begun. I know as crafters we thrive on hoarding our items and we can always justify why we need more than what we have, but after a few years  of crafting, I can tell what my most used supplies are versus what was purchased on impulse that I never even broke the seal on. Those items will hopefully find a happier crafting place that will keep the dust bunnies away and I can have room for my crafting style that I do most. It's a Win-Win for us all...<smile>
Some of the items and brands you can expect are:
  • Paper Stacks, Paper Packs,...
  • Stamps & Stamp Sets
  • Ink Pads
  • Craft Tools (Punches, Fiskars, Mixed Media...etc.)
  • Embellies ...etc. Just to name a few
To TREASURE...
So make sure to check back... once they items are posted they will be sold on a First Come, First Serve...Basis! All Sales are Final! ...hence the "Clear the Clutter" mission. You will not be disappointed, only if you miss out on these great items. I plan to begin posting by this week for sure...you never know what you might see.

Happy New Year...2013!!!

Here's hoping everyone's New Year of 2013 is off to a Great Start! I'm getting myself A LOT more organized this year, I'm in the "Clear the Clutter" mode! There are some Great Things to Come with Scrapper in the Making so I hope you check back often.

A Time of Remembrance for Sandy Hook Elementary...Newtown, Connecticut

No Words Could Have Every Said It Better... Please take time to read the link below. I found this blog through Emma at My Creative Time posted by Lorie Allred of Allred Design. Thank You Lorie.
Twas' 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
when 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven's gate.
their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
they could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
they were filled with such joy, they didn't know what to say.
they remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
"where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
"this is heaven." declared a small boy. "we're spending Christmas at God's house."
when what to their wondering eyes did appear,
but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
and in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring
those children all flew into the arms of their King
and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
one small girl turned and looked at Jesus' face.
and as if He could read all the questions she had
He gently whispered to her, "I'll take care of mom and dad."
then He looked down on earth, the world far below
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe
then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand,
"Let My power and presence re-enter this land!"
"may this country be delivered from the hands of fools"
"I'm taking back my nation. I'm taking back my schools!"
then He and the children stood up without a sound.
"come now my children, let me show you around."
excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.
all displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
and i heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,
"in the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT."

On A Mission... "Otway Family - Missionary Trip"

Hello My Friends,
I know I have not been crafting on a regular, but I am working on trying to carve out some dedicated time. I soooo need it! This thing called "LIFE", just seems to keep getting in the way...go figure, uggghh! (lol).
Anyhew, I'm coming to you on another note,.. This is something that is very near and dear to my Heart and Soul. My SIS "Heidi Otway" (My BEST Friend and god-mother of each other's children) and her Beautiful Family are True Living Examples of a Family of Faith & Servants. They are all very active in their community and church. I was Sooo Over-Joyed and Emotional when I saw that Heidi & Richard were answering their calling to the Missionary Ministry. I was even more Tearfully Emotional when I saw that the children were going to be involved to. That's just the kind of family they are...and with two teenagers and one college student, you can imagine that their household is far from quiet and orderly...(lol). I could make this a long post going on and on about my SIS and her family (I love bragging about them :-) ), but I'll save that for another time and when we've both had enough coffee...LOL!
Some of you may know that any person going on a mission trip can be a bit expensive, but sending a Whole Family can leave your mouth in the "drop-jaw" state when adding up that cost. Well, un-knowingly to Heidi & Richard (shhh...), I decided to jump in and help where I could by spreading their Mission Trip news on my blog. My prayer and hopes are that my crafty peeps out there, with the Biggest Hearts I know, would read their story and hopefully want to help fund this trip with them. Any amount is helpful and they & I would be Forever... Very Thankful. You don't have to even leave your name if you don't want to... you can donate anonymously if you wish, however in your comments at the end, please indicate the following signature tag: "(crafty friend of SITM or Felicia)". I say this because once all donations have been made and calculated. I will be asking Heidi & Richard to forward me the names and comments of those donations with the above signature tag and I will be drawing a random winner to receive A Box FULL of Crafting Goodies!! What better way to start off the NEW YEAR than with some Awesome Craft Goodies! Here is a link below where you can read more about this trip:
My Heart is moved every time I think of them wanting to do this and I'm keeping this request in my prayers until their trip is completely funded. If you like, feel free to share this widget on your blog's side-bar. I would be Humbly Grateful!

It's The Most Wonderful Time...

Hi My Friends,
I wanted to post this card as my first time entering into the My Favorite Things (MFT) Guest Designer Contest. Let me tell you that I think these are going to be my newest favorite stamps. I am in love with just about everything in their store. I wish I could afford it all. They have a FAB-U-LOUS Release going on right now. Check it out here. Anyhew, here is the card I came up with for the sketch we were to follow.
For this card. I use the special T ripple Scoop Seasonal Sentiment Stamp set from MFT. I am soooo in Love with this set. I use some 5.5 x 5.5 kraft corrugated card stock as my base along with some PTI Buttons & Card stock. The pattern paper is from Recollections new 6x6 paper pad "Jolly Holiday". The first sentiment on the front was embossed with white embossing powder and I adhered two buttons and twine from the twinery with them. This is definitely a Jolly Holiday card and I Love how the inside came out too. I used MFT's Die-namics "Fancy Flourish" to accent the other sentiment on the inside. (This die cuts like butta'). I adhered some bling to the flourish points and used my MS Glitter pen to give it some sparkle. I also used some sparkle on the front of the card to for the mini wreaths on the pattern paper. I hope you like my card and for my "Enabler Alert"...go check out "My Favorite Things" site and store is the Bomb-Diggity. I certainly have a lot on my wish list from them this season. Big Hugs & Smooches...

Crazy About YOU...

Hi There...
It's ME again! Wow two post in one day. Well I figure I owe it to myself and YOU for visiting my blog when you do. I have another card for your viewing pleasure. This one is a not so CAS, but it was easy to put together. No Cricut Required...eeek! I promise I will get back to my cricut soon. I have so many scrap cuts left over from previous projects I might just see what I can make from them...he-he-he. I Really, Really Love this Card. This window card came together once I saw the paper I wanted to use and the perfect stamp in my stash caught my eye. Thinking about it now. I wish I had this card made during my anniversary to give to my husband. It's perfect for us. Anyhew, I used some of my favorite papers from DCWV and Stampin' UP to make this one. The embossed sentiment comes from SSS - "For the Record" stamp set. SSS is my new obsession at the moment. I'm so glad I joined their SSS Kit of the Month Club. The goodies in there are Soooo Fabulous! If you haven't had the crafty pleasure I suggest you try it out for 2-3 months. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
Craft Recipe:
Papers: DCWV (Orchard Stack), Stampin' UP (Pretty in Pink), Stash
Sentiment: Simon Says Stamp (For the Record), Studio G (Love Birds in Cage)
Tools: EK Success Circle Punch,
Embellies: Stickles, Stampin' Up Ribbon (Pretty in Pink)

This card will be entered into the following challenges:
Red Carpet Studio - "The Birds" (Create a card or project featuring a Bird)
My Craft Spot - "Emboss It!" (Heat, Dry,...etc)
3 Girl Jam - "Anything Goes w/Ribbon"
D.L. Art - "Anything Goes"

Falling for You...

Hello My Friends,
I'm here with cards that I love to do more than anything and that's CAS (clean and simple). These are always so quick to whip up especially when you find that your stash is completely out. No cutting mat, no adhering pieces, no cartridges...etc. I find myself creating these a lot more. Don't get me wrong, I Love My Cricut, but sometimes moving things around in my craft area just to get a few cuts can be a challenge; especially in my little area. Let's face it, for me, my craft area could really use some Maid Service...LOL! However if I had to pay someone to clean it I wouldn't have any funds for my hoarding craft addiction...LOL! I digress. Here is my card that I made using some left over hearts from this new EK Success punch I found at JoAnn's on sale (+plus my addt'l coupon). I sprinkled a few on the card and let them fall where they may, then I went back and glued them down one by one. The card still needed some jazzing up so I added some designs (polka dots, stickles, stripes) on the hearts. Then I went back and topped them off with glossy accents. The sentiment comes for SSS-Kelly Purkey "Autumn" stamp set. I added some embossing lines at the bottom of the card and Voila! A "Falling For YOU" card emerged. Hope you like it too.
I am entering this into the following challenges:
CAS-ual Fridays - "Put your Heart into It!" Create a CAS project with a Heart.
A Blog Named HERO - "Clean Up Your Act". Create a CAS card or project.
D.L. Art - "Anything Goes" - "Anything Goes" Thankful Thursday

In the meantime, I was able to crank out a quick card set last night for my step-daughter to give to her tutor (a family friend/Teacher) that's been helping her prepare for her SAT's the last few weeks (remember those days...yikes!). Anyway, they wouldn't accept any monetary payment from us, but we wanted to do something for them to show we appreciate them stepping in on such short notice. (Her test is this Saturday...please pray with us that she does an Excellent Job!).
Being that her tutor is a male, I didn't want to get to frilly with this card. You know how we crafters can be sometimes...lol. Here is the Gift Card Holder and Matching Card that I made for her to give to him after their last study session today.
(Inside this Card we put a Visa Gift Card)
