It's The Most Wonderful Time...

Hi My Friends,
I wanted to post this card as my first time entering into the My Favorite Things (MFT) Guest Designer Contest. Let me tell you that I think these are going to be my newest favorite stamps. I am in love with just about everything in their store. I wish I could afford it all. They have a FAB-U-LOUS Release going on right now. Check it out here. Anyhew, here is the card I came up with for the sketch we were to follow.
For this card. I use the special T ripple Scoop Seasonal Sentiment Stamp set from MFT. I am soooo in Love with this set. I use some 5.5 x 5.5 kraft corrugated card stock as my base along with some PTI Buttons & Card stock. The pattern paper is from Recollections new 6x6 paper pad "Jolly Holiday". The first sentiment on the front was embossed with white embossing powder and I adhered two buttons and twine from the twinery with them. This is definitely a Jolly Holiday card and I Love how the inside came out too. I used MFT's Die-namics "Fancy Flourish" to accent the other sentiment on the inside. (This die cuts like butta'). I adhered some bling to the flourish points and used my MS Glitter pen to give it some sparkle. I also used some sparkle on the front of the card to for the mini wreaths on the pattern paper. I hope you like my card and for my "Enabler Alert"...go check out "My Favorite Things" site and store is the Bomb-Diggity. I certainly have a lot on my wish list from them this season. Big Hugs & Smooches...

A Gift Card Set and Giveaways Extended...

Hi Everyone,
I trust you all are just as busy as I am. My Birthday (Month) Bash was a BLAST and very Memorable! As I'm winding down from all the lost sleep, it dawned on me that I still have even more to celebrate this month. My Wedding Anniversary is coming up next week (10/9-8yrs and counting <3)!...eek! (It's not that I forgot, but you know how things just slip up on ya...). Well... DH had plans for that weekend so, I will be M.I.A. from Blog-land for a while (sort of...lol <wink>). With that being said. I thought this would be a Great Time for all of You out there to still get in on the Giveaways that I have going...
All Birthday Bash & Grand Giveaways are extended for another week until next Saturday (10/13)
If you're just coming here and want to know more about the Birthday Bash Weekend & Giveaway (Click Here). I would like to have more participants so help me Spread the Word by putting this post on your blog with a link back here.
Wooo Hooo! I know Right! Now you have No Excuse for not participating. It's Easy Peasy and The Prizes to be won are Fantabulous! I wouldn't give away anything I wouldn't use myself, so I know the winners will definitely enjoy them.
Now Get to those Comments and Create That Project!
In the meantime, I was able to crank out a quick card set last night for my step-daughter to give to her tutor (a family friend/Teacher) that's been helping her prepare for her SAT's the last few weeks (remember those days...yikes!). Anyway, they wouldn't accept any monetary payment from us, but we wanted to do something for them to show we appreciate them stepping in on such short notice. (Her test is this Saturday...please pray with us that she does an Excellent Job!).
Being that her tutor is a male, I didn't want to get to frilly with this card. You know how we crafters can be sometimes...lol. Here is the Gift Card Holder and Matching Card that I made for her to give to him after their last study session today.
(Inside this Card we put a Visa Gift Card)
(Inside this Gift Card Holder we put a Subway Card, his favorite place)
I Love how this monochrome toned set turned out. It will fit him perfectly; colors and all. I will also be entering this into the following challenge(s):
Papertrey Ink (PTI) Make it Monday - Glittered Tabs
Simon Says Stamp - Glimmer & Sparkle
Crafty Supplies:
Paper: Recollections, Cloud 9, Stash

Note Card Set

Hi My Friends,
I'm here with another craft project that I was working on to give to a Super Awesome GirlFriend (more like my Sister/SIS since I don't have any). She travels a lot with work and is hardly ever in town, but I recently spoke to her and she's been under the weather. I thought I would put together a little care package for her before she has to leave again and included a few cards that I've made along with some tummy goodies. I'll provide more pictures of everything as I'm assembling it, but here is a note card set I made for her using her first name initial. I got my new My Creative Time Stamps and Dies from her latest August Release, "click here" in the mail and I just couldn't wait to play with them. This is so going to help me with my quick notes card that I love to make so often. Now I can make a quick envelope just as fast with this die.
These all came together rather quickly with some confetti paper I had in my stash, pattern paper, MCT dies, distressed square punch, Thank You stamps set from Inkadinkado, twine and a little bling. I noticed after this photo shoot that my twine got a little out of place, but rest assure that it was quickly cleared up before adding it to the care package. Hope you like...Thanks for stopping by today. I love reading your comments. I'll scrap you later... <3

Owl Always Love You...

Hello Friends,
I'm Baaaack! well sort of any way. I'm still organizing and trying to scrap in between (still haven't learned my lesson). My family and I along with other S. Floridians really dodged a bullet this time with the onset of Hurricane Issac. We did endure a lot of rain showers but thankfully no power outages. I've been working on some projects here and there and I decided to post this one as I thought it was so Darn Cute!...lol
It was very simple and easy to make and I scrapped using Washi Tape for the first time. I have a few other rolls, but the verdict is still out on my full review yet. The stuff rips too easily for me...or maybe I don't know my own strength (lol). Here's my card...
During the photo shoot, I thought it was still missing something so I regrouped my thoughts and Voila! Now it has that perfect touch I was looking for. I haven't been keeping up with the latest challenges out there but I did find these few that my card would fit for. If you find any others, let me know so that I can update my post the same day.
CAS-ual Fridays - Banners and Flags
Paper Playtime - Polka Dots + a Sentiment
Krafty Girls - Anything Goes
Craft Supplies:
Paper: MS Design Paper, Recollections
Tools: MCT Banner Dies, White Gel Pen, Studio G Stamp(s), Alpha Stamps, Corner Punch
Embellies: SSS Washi Tape, Ranger Stickles

to the Happy Couple

Hello My Friends,
Today I come to you with a card for a happy soon to be newlywed couple. I thought this would make a perfect wedding card even though it's not of the traditional colors or theme as most wedding cards are made. This is for a more neutral, laid back couple that don't want all the delicate frills that most wedding decor follows. I believe you can fit rustic into elegant and this was my thought behind making this card.
Action Wobble Challenge - "The B Challenge (Have something on your project that starts with a B.)"
Docerela Creations - "Inspirational Photo"
Unity Stamp Challenge - "I DO"
Paper Crafting Journey - "Anything Goes"
Jackson's Digital Expressions - "Anything Goes +Optional Color Twist"
Recipe:
Papers: DCWV, Recollections
Stamps: Unity (Itty Bitty Stamp of the Week #2 & #32)
Tools: SU Heart-2-Heart Punch, T.Holtz Distresser & Distress Inks, Momento Ink
Embellies: MS Glitter Pen, Glossy Accents, Brads, Action Wobble
I tried my best to get as close to the inspirational photo colors, but when the ink touched the paper is came off in a slightly different tone. I still think is a close match thought. The rustic look is sort of chic to me. Hope you like. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing your thoughtful, encouraging words. Scrap you later...(you've been Smooched)! How did I do on my very First (1st) Video...lol <3

School Spirit!!!

Hi Everyone,
It's getting close to that time for kids to go back to school. My stepdaughter is anxious as this is her Senior year. I'm excited for her too. My little one will be starting day care for the first time in September. I'm trying to prepare myself as much as I can, but am certainly doing my research and asking a lot of questions at these centers. You can't be too careful these days.
Anyhew enough of that, I'm here to share with you this quick shaped card I made. It's been a while since I've  done one of these and I will certainly be doing more. Well I couldn't let Back to School get started without creating at least one tribute to it. I used the Locker Talk Cartridge for this one. Let me know your Smoochy Thoughts...lol
This card will be for the following Challenges:
Celebrate the Occasion - "Back to School - create a Back to School project."
DL.Art Link Party - "Thankful Thursday Link Party - Anything Goes"
Krafty Girls - "Get in Shape - create a shaped card with any theme."
Made Especially for You - "Back to School with Vellum - create a Back to School card using vellum."
Ok, that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by and leaving some blog love. You've been officially Smooched...(lol) scrap you later.

Anything Goes...

Hello My Friends,
It's ME again. Bet you didn't think you'd hear from me twice in one night. Well I said, "I'll scrap you later" and it's now later for me...lol. Anyhew, I have another challenge I need to get in for tonight's deadline. I really had fun making this card. I actually made two versions of it, but I'll save that one for later to use on another post. Here's my card. And if I must say so myself...."Hot Dog, I think it's Ca-Ute"!
I created this card for the "Anything Goes" challenges over at:
Peachy Keen Challenge - Anything Goes
Celebrate the Occasions - Anything Goes
Cardz TV - Anything Goes
Recipe:
Cart: Block Party (Hot Dog)
Papers: DCWV pattern paper, Recollections
Tools: PKS - Wide Eyed Kids & April SKOTM, Studio G (Alpha letters), MS - Metallic Craft Ink, Momento
Embellies: Brads, PTI Buttons, Jute Twine
I love these types of challenges. It takes some of the pressure off of having to decide what to create to fit the challenge criteria. That's it for me tonight. I'll be scrappin' you later for sure.

Oh Happy Day...

Hey There My Friends,
Thanks for coming back again today. If this is your first time here...Welcome, Welcome, Welcome! I hope you visit more often. I'm here with another card that kept me up waaaay past my bedtime last night, but I was determined to get this technique down and I wanted to try out this new product.
My project for today will be entered into the following challenges:
Hero Arts, A Blog Named Hero - "Inspired by Hero Arts Artist"
CAS-ual Fridays - "Back in Black"
Brown Sugar Challenge - "Black & White with a Splash of Color"
This design of mine was inspired by none other than the Ah-Mazingly Ubber-Ubber Talented... Jennifer McGuire of Jennifer McGurie Ink, who is a Hero Arts' Design Artist. Here is the link from which I drew my inspiration - "How -To Video: Thin Glitter Die Cuts". This lady is Awesome and she just had a baby and still has time to craft and teach online card classes. You're my Hero Arts SHe-ro Jennifer. Anyhew, I had to watch the video over and over until I felt I was finally ready to try it. The "Oh Happy Day" is a new die-line from Simon Says Stamp with the script writing done by Kristina Werner (another Fantabulously Talented Lady). The black background was done with the Market Street Stamps' - Argyle background stamp which I clear embossed. I also added a little Hero Arts touch with the "Everyday Sentiments" stamp set using the (XOXO). I added the hearts using Stampin' Up's Heart-to-Heart punch, used my Martha Stewart's, Crystal Fine glitter (it's about time I had a use for it...lol) and colored of the letters with my Bic Sharpie markers for my splash of color. Next time I'll have to try a craft like this during the early hours of the day. I made it to work somehow, but could barely keep my eyes open or focused. Until next time, scrap you later...zzzzZZZ! (lol)
