Happy Birdthday...

Hi My Friends,
**** Happy Birthday to All the December Birthdays ****
I know we're getting into the holiday spirit and all, but I wanted to do something a little different to break up the routine. There is always someone's birthday in my family for every single month (July is our most popular month). I've run completely out and need to restock my stash. Here is a birthday card I'm going to be giving to my niece on the 14th. My nephew's is on the 23rd. So before I get all glittered and pine-coned down in my holiday gifts, decor and projects I figure I better get their cards out of the way now. Hope you really like this card. I'm entering it into the following challenges...

Masculine Card

Hi Friends,
I'm so happy to be able to create this card because I rarely do any for males. The majority of my family is women so when I saw the challenge over at Celebrate the Occasion - "Male Birthday Card, must use Metal" well I thought... great. I need to add some make birthday cards to my stash. So off I went. The hardest part was trying to get some metal that would still be masculine. I think what I came up with is fine. Just picture that glass shape as a beer mug and it works just fine (lol). Real Men drink martini too. In addition the challenge over at Birthday Sundaes - "Tall/Long Birthday Card". This worked perfect for what I created.
I had to keep it simple to make sure it remained masculine. The stamp print on the banner flags is from MSS (Market Street Stamps) "Argyle". That's one down and 9 more to go of male cards. I told you my stash was low (better yet empty...lol). You still have time to join in on the fun. Check out both of these blogs, grab some inspiration and join the rest of us. Smooches...

Happy Birthday Boo...

Happy Saturday My Friends,
I've had a busy week and now weekend. Doesn't seem like a long relaxing weekend like I had planned, but I'll roll with it. Today (9/3) is DH Birthday and we both share the same Birthday month as mine is on the 27th. Ever since middle school I believe, I decided with myself to celebrate the whole month of my Birthday. This sometimes go very expensive...lol, but was always a lot of fun. Since DH came along he felt we should split the month in half of celebrating...NOT! This is what I've been doing for years and I'll give you Your Day, but the rest of September is All About ME! This way I figure no one can be too early or late with any Birthday Wishes. They have the whole month to get it in. I come from a big family and I'm the only girl in mine. Here is a card that I made for My Boo... well actually we call each other "Babe", but I thought the sentiment fit the style of card I made...<wink> I was hoping to just have a relaxing family weekend with DH and do a little BBQ, it's not out of the plans yet, we'll see. Let me know what you think. Smooches...

There was another one out there, but at the moment I can't remember which one as I didn't write it down. I'll add as soon as I come across it again, if it's not too late.

My First "Easel Card"

Hello Friends...,
I finally took the plunge and tried my hand at my First Easel card. I've heard that they are sooo easy to do and I've watched enough videos on seeing them done. So I said, "what the heck"..."Just Do It"! Well when I started putting hand to paper, I couldn't stop myself. I've found another new love. I think you'll be seeing a few more of these from me from now on. I absolutely LOVE how this came out and I got to use one of my favorite stacks from DCWV (Lemon Stack) to make this even more cuter. I am sooo proud of me. I think this is just the cutest that I don't even want to give it away at least not for now that is. One of my BEST Girlfriend's (I call her my SIS) Birthday is Today and she's out of town. Since I have a key to her place I'm going to leave a Goodie Gift along with this card as a Surprise when she returns. Shhhh.... (I hope she hasn't read this due to her too busy celebrating)
I think I'm going to need another pack of that Lemon Stack... I just Love that Paper Pad. Let me know what you think. I have a few other crafty things I'm working on so check back often. I love reading your comments. Smooches...
