To my blog Scrapper in the Making. If you've just come over from MAG Challenge by the Page, then you're off on the right start. Today we are Celebrating MAG's 1st Blog-Aversary. They are 1yr older today. I'm so glad that I was able to join these fabulous ladies (Melissa, Adrian, Gloria) for this wonderful occasion. They are all soooo talented, very sweet and I'm honored to have been chosen to be on their Design Team for a 2nd term. I'm the first on the Blog Hop so make sure you go through the rest of the list as there will be lots of Blog Candy along the way. For my tribute to this special moment, I created the project below.
Everyone loves a good cupcake and having the single candle on it, I thought it would be perfect to commemorate their 1yr Blogaversary Journey together. If you've never heard of MAG Challenges then where have YOU Been?! This is a Funtastic Blog that pushes your creativity. There are New challenges each Friday of the week. Check out the link after you've gone through the hop and be sure to join us on these Fun Friday Creative Challenges. It's truly like no other challenges out there. What's a Blogaversary Hop without Blog Candy... for your creativity, I'll be giving away a Deja Views "Sports" stickers and this Inkadinkado Stamp Set called "Doodle Holidays".
This will hopefully give you a head start on your Christmas projects and some added fun to the Sports season. You must leave a comment here with a way for me to contact you, but make sure to wish MAG a Happy Blogaversary over on their blog. I will post the winner Wednesday AM.

CWC - Adopt a Shelter Pet Blog Hop
Hello My Friends,
Welcome to Scrapper in the Making and the CookingWithCricut.com "Adopt A Shelter Pet" Hop! October is National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, but we wanted to honor and celebrate all of our furry friends! If you've come from visiting Heather's Blog at The Hunny Pot you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to hop along with us, you can go to CookingWithCricut.com and start at the beginning.
I used the Famous..."Create A Critter" cart because I couldn't wait to try out my Happy Go Lucky stamps I won. I studded up the collar and made a tag with his paw print. I don't own any pets at this time but I certainly grew up having a few. If I had the room in my home I would certainly adopt one, but for now I can certainly support this cause. Now it's your turn! Link up your purr-fectly wonderful pet-themed project at CookingWithCricut.com . Here are a few guidelines:
Must follow the challenge topic.
Must be a NEW project for this challenge. No back dated posts please.
Must have a link back to this post on your blog.
Must link your project post through Inlinkz and not just your blog.
Must use your Cricut in some capacity.
Must HAVE FUN!
You may gladly combine challenges . . . we love to pile it on TOO!
The Design Team will pick their three favorites and one lucky person will be chosen randomly to win one of the prize packages being offered in this hop. There is also a prize package for just leaving us some love (a comment) on the CWC blog. One catch, those leaving comments MUST be a CWC follower. Each prize winner will receive a $20 gift voucher-download from PaperCraftingWorld.com. The Design Team’s top three will each receive $5.00 gift voucher-download from PaperCraftingWorld.com.
Blog Candy Alert: I will be giving away an Inkadinkado Stamp set. Make sure to comment before EST midnight Tuesday 10/25. I will announce the winner Wednesday morning. Now head on over to Court at Court's Craft Corner to see what they've cooked up for you! Here's the Blog Hop list below in case you get lost along the way. Have Fun & Enjoy! Smooches...

Inking It Up Crazy DT Day
Hello There My Friends, for
It's Design Team day with Inking It Up Crazy. We each had to create something for Halloween Treats. I did a little recycling and figured there is no reason to leave the little ones (babies) out of all the treats and eats fun. I decorated one of my daughter's old baby bottles. Why do I still have it, well... it's a sentimental value from her Uncle & god-daddy. Anyhew, here is a new treat bottle for those little pumpkins out there. Head on over to Inking It Up Crazy and see what the rest of the Team has created for inspiration for you.

D2D Progressive Challenge - Pumpkins & Tags
Hi My Friends,
I can't believe I almost missed this. I'll be quick. It's another D2D Progressive Challenge and this time it's with Pumpkins & Tags. Here is my tag that I created. I can see myself doing a lot more of these. I used my BIC Sharpies, MS Glitter Pens and some Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Spiced Marmalade, Scattered Straw, Fired Brick, Mustard Seed). I'll also be entering this in My Sheri Crafts - "It's The Great Pumpkin".

More Treat Holders...
Hi Everyone,
It's me again with another post for the late hour. I hope you've been enjoying your day. I'm going to be quick with this as I have to get back to studying for this major test I have next week. I need ALL the prayers I can get so shout out a good one for me. Ok, here's the challenges my project was created for:
My Pinkalicious Blog Hop create a "3D item for the Holiday",
Whimsical Wednesdays - "Create bags/boxes or anything that can package Halloween Treats,
More Than Favors' Wacky Wednesday - "Create something for "Halloween".
I used the mini monsters cartridge for this treat holder cut at fit to page. I altered the front of it a bit as I was going for a bat-ty look. I also see after uploading this that I forgot to add my sentiment and ink up my edges. Well it's complete now and I'll have to do that later. It's perfect for the little ones at Halloween. I must confess that I don't really celebrate Halloween, but I love seeing the little ones dressed up in their cute adorable outfits. Treat holders and a few cards are as far as I get.

It's Cooking With Cricut Wednesday's -
Hi Friends,
Wow this week is getting the best of me. I have a major test to take for next week and I have yet to open the book. I will need all prayers to get through this one. Anyhew enough of that... It's another Wednesday Challenge day over at Cooking with Cricut. Us Sous Chefs were asked to do a color challenge using PURPLE & GREEN, but also follow one of the Sketch Choices. Oct. 23rd is Mother-in-Law's Day (who knew???) so I/we created projects that would in some way commemorate that day. Here is my project below and the Sketch I chose.(my apologies on the lighting for some reason this lime green color did not photograph well)
I used the Rock Princess cart and blinged it up. I added some perfect pearls in green and brushed around the frame of the card and used the MS all round the page punch to create that green frame.. I looks really shimmery in person. If my MIL was still here with us, she would totally be getting this card. Head on over to CWC and see what the rest of the Design Team has cooked up for your inspiration. We look forward to having you join in on the FUN. Smooches...

Treat Boxes for Sweet Treats
Hello there My Friends,
Here's a quick project I did to get in on the More Than Favors' Wacky Wednesday Challenge - "Treat Bags or Boxes". I'm sure there's always a need for a treat bags/boxes at any special celebration or occasion. There's also a fun challenge over at Crafty Sprouts - "Candy Goes Here" (make ANY Treat Container). I have my share of a sweet tooth, but not for the all the chocolate like most of you may have. I love the baked goodies... (cupcakes, pastries, pies, cakes, danish...etc). All the "straight from your lips to your hips" stuff (lol). I need a personal trainer for sure with a boot camp ethic to get me in gear for real...(lol). OK, so here's my sweet treat container/box...etc.
Oh, I almost forgot, I used the Wrap It Up cart and cut the box at the Fill to Page setting. All the other embellies are from my stash (ribbon, butterfly, brad, tag, sentiment) Enjoy! Smooches...

Masculine Card
Hi Friends,
I'm so happy to be able to create this card because I rarely do any for males. The majority of my family is women so when I saw the challenge over at Celebrate the Occasion - "Male Birthday Card, must use Metal" well I thought... great. I need to add some make birthday cards to my stash. So off I went. The hardest part was trying to get some metal that would still be masculine. I think what I came up with is fine. Just picture that glass shape as a beer mug and it works just fine (lol). Real Men drink martini too. In addition the challenge over at Birthday Sundaes - "Tall/Long Birthday Card". This worked perfect for what I created.
I had to keep it simple to make sure it remained masculine. The stamp print on the banner flags is from MSS (Market Street Stamps) "Argyle". That's one down and 9 more to go of male cards. I told you my stash was low (better yet empty...lol). You still have time to join in on the fun. Check out both of these blogs, grab some inspiration and join the rest of us. Smooches...

I used two of my favorite background stamps: Gingham & Cane on this one with a dash/spritz of perfect pearls mist and some stickes (orange, yellow, red) to bring out the falling leaves from the branches. I Love the Fall Season and everything that comes with it. So I figured I'd combine My Favorite Season with some of My Favorites Stamps. Perfect Combination if you ask me. Smooches...

Throwback Thursday - "Card Feature"
Hi My Friends,
Thank you so much for stopping by today. If you are new here or got here by some typo or fluke... Let me Welcome YOU to Scrapper in the Making. I hope you'll stick around and visit more often. Well it's that time again for another Throwback Thursday challenge at My Creative Time w/Emma. You must create a card using the "Card Feature" from any cartridge, but it must also be a "Halloween Theme". This is also the beginning of MCT's sneak peak for her October Stamp Release. Be sure to check out her blog and that awesome DT of hers and see the showcase going on all this week. Here is my card for this challenge. I used the Mini Monsters cartridge and the Card Feature found on page 47, the Witch Hat and also cut the witch image to layer on top. Also over at FCCB - Challenge Me Mondays "Purple People Eater" (create a project with the color purple in it as well as a monster or bug)
Recipe:
Cart: Mini Monsters
Papers: Recollections
Tools: MCT-Hounds Tooth Stamp, Mini Circle Punch, MS Purple Glitter Pen, PKS-Monster Mash Faces, Stamps from Stash (Skeleton, Bats, Web, Sentiment)
Embellies: Twine(as Orange/Black Hair), Googly Eyes
**sn: My apologies about the not so clear photos, for some reason these colors(purple, lime green, bright orange) did not photograph well together and I'm not sure if the glitter pen on the purple shoes and hat contributed to it. It really is Spooky Cute in person**.

Link Up for Pink & Think Pink
Hi There My Friends,
I made it safely back home and all the way, I couldn't help but think of more projects I wanted to do. It's a curse I know we all share (lol). I wanted to get in one more project for tonight to help with this awesome cause of Breast Cancer Awareness month. I created this for the "Link Up for Pink" at Just Yolie's blog. There were soooo many Beautiful creations out there. I think if everyone were crafters, this world would be a Better & Peacful place. A girl can wish can't she...lol. I also want to add this card to the Cricut Cardz Challenge - "Think Pink". Both of these are great sites and are supporting a Great cause. I hope you like.
Recipe:
Cart: Slumber Party, Stand and Salute
Papers: Recollections, MS
Tools: Butterfly Punch, Bumpy Road Punch, Cuttlebug Spots & Dots Folder, MS Glitter Pen, Homemade Sentiment w/Computer
Embellies: Stickles, Glossy Accents,
I had to create my own sentiment for this one because I knew exactly what I wanted to say and I know there was no stamp out there for it yet. I used my stickles and glossy accents to help bring some bling and shine to it.
There's a Scrapbook Expo going on in West Palm Beach, FL this weekend. I'm going to try and make it if I can bear getting on the road again after just traveling for hours and hours a day ago. Maybe I'll run into some of you there. I'll share any deals I find if I get anything...yeah right who am I kidding; I hope I can stick to my budget. This will be my first Scrapbook Expo. I hope it's worth the trip seeing as I'm going by myself this time. BTW, Thanks so much for treating my blogger genie so well. I think she did ok, with only a hick-up or two. Smooches...

MAG Design Team Rnd-2 - Freshly Picked (pg 52)
Hello Friends,
More Great News. I'm back for another Design Team Term with MAG. This was the First Blog that gave me the opportunity to be on a DT. When I was asked if I wanted to continue for a 2nd Term,... without hesitation my answer was YES! This week Team1 was given the cart "Freshly Picked" pg52. Why not Join In With Us! Head on over to MAG and read the details and see what my fellow Design Team Members have created for your inspiration.
I decided to use the Frame on this one and make it a Card-Frame. My god-daughter is having a baby shower coming up soon, so when ever I can get a craft in for her and the baby, that will save me time to finish up other things I'm working on for them. Click Here and Click Here to see projects I did a while back that will all coordinate with the things I'm giving her.

Hi There Blogger Friends,
It's me Blogger Genie; Felicia is still unavailable, but she left enough to keep me busy and to keep you coming back. It is CDAC Progressive Challenge #4, there are SIX in all. This week's images were just as Awesome as the ones before. From Halloween to Mystical. Here are the digis I/she decided to use and will be entering into the challenge. Don't forget to leave Miss Smooches aka Felicia...(don't tell her I said that) some comments or she won't think I've been doing my job. I know my time here is only temporary, but I'm starting to get the hang of this and I really like it here.

Chef Feli'.**sn: I like the sound of that, I may be using that elsewhere too**(lol) Well not the cooking kind (though I can throw down in the kitchen), but the crafting kind. I'm so honored to be working with such a talented group of crafters. I hope my projects can measure up to everyone's. Anyhew I'm glad you are here and I hope you stick around as I craft my way through this wonderful journey. Today's Challenge over at Cooking with Cricut (CWC) is: "Cake, Cupcake and/or Teddy Bear". I decided to make a Cupcake for this challenge. Who doesn't love a good cupcake; no matter what the occasion. Anyhew, I used the Wild Card Cricut Cartridge for this one. Since it's now Autumn season (my favorite season) and I love all the Fall colors I decided to combine my love for both.
Head on over to Cooking with Cricut and Join in on the Fun with Us, Get some Inspiration and check out the other New Chefs on the Team.

Link Up for Pink & D2D Progressive Challenge - "Hope"
Good Morning Friends,
Well by the time some of you read this. I will be on the road traveling with family. I hope to return by or before Friday. While I'm gone, I've left my Blogger Genie in charge of making sure you don't miss me too much and my posts go up as planned. I won't have much computer access and there's only so much a girl can do on her cell phone (lol). Here is a card I made for two challenges. D2D Progressive challenge this week is "Hope". What a beautiful image this is and I {heart} Butterflies. Also Link Up for Pink over on Gaby Creates is having a Huge Linking Party for a special cause, "Breast Cancer". Head on over there and look at all the beautiful inspiration there and read about the details of the Linking Party. Hopefully you'll have time to join in on this wonderful cause. Smooches...
The sentiments are from MCT - "Inspiring Words". Those Beautiful Butterflies are the Free Stamp of the month for October over at Designed 2 Delight.

Just for YOU... "Note Card" Challenge
Hi Friends,
Ok, this will be it for a while because I still need to pack for my trip, but I do have a few more post later in the week and possibly later today. Jovan also had a 3x3 Card Challenge. I haven't done these in quite a while, but I will certainly be creating me a stash of them to keep on hand. They are so quick to make and very useful. These would go great with those quick last minute gifts or a just because gesture. Hope you like it. Head on over to Cards by Jovan when you get a chance, she's been doing a reveal of her craft room and let me tell you... It Is Beautiful. One day I will have a whole craft room of my own. Until next time, Smooches...

Happy (Belated) Birthday... "JOVAN" & Throwback Thursday
Hi My Friends,
I guess you didn't expect to hear from me again so soon. For those of you who've gotten to know me, maybe you did (lol). Anyhew here is another challenge I'm entering for a dear sweet person named Jovan from Cards by Jovan. The challenge was to "Create a Birthday Card"; so I did just that in honor of her birthday. Here's my card. I know she likes the color purple so I certainly created it with Mrs. Jovan in mind. Who can resist Hello Kitty! Happy Birthday Jovan! Smooches...

Hoo... Hoo.. Beware!
Hi There,
It's me again. This card was made with the upcoming spooky celebration in mind. This will be entered into the Cardz TV - "Make a Halloween card using an Owl", FCCB - "Create a project with a Pumpkin", The Pink Elephant - "Trick or Treat" theme and also Tacky Tuesday's - "Use an Owl and the word "Hoo" in your sentiment". This was my first time using my Happy Hauntings cart. I'm really liking cutting these images. I can see me using this for a lot more scrapbooking now.
I love making projects that can fit multiple challenges. It makes it that more fun and challenging for me at least.

Crafting in the Wee Hours...
Hi My Friends,
Here is a card that I worked on today after finally being able to get in my craft area. I'll be going out of town on Tuesday so needless to say I've been scrambling to get quite a lot done in a short time. Not to worry, I'll still have posts for your to view while I'm away. It will be my Genie Blogger doing all the work for me while I'm gone. This card is for the CCCC Challenge - use "Christmas" cart. There are some great things happening with Scrapper in the Making so I hope you check back often. Smooches...
I wanted a real life-like snow effect so I used White Puffy Paint and spread is on the trees. I also used Glossy accents to give a life-like feel to the snowflakes. The sentiments are from MPS - "Winter Punnies". I think I better get started on my Christmas Cards. I have to make a set for me and my mom this year.

I used my colored pencils this time. I'm really trying to learn how to use them, but I guess it takes practice. I love my BIC sharpie markers much better especially since I can use a copic blender pen with them. It's definitely less expensive. The Saturday Designer's Challenge at D2D called for the use of colored pencils on a Digi Image so I combined the two. Hope you like it. Can't wait to see what we have for next week. I'm also entering this into the Wacky Wednesday Challenge - (Use Colors: Purple, Orange, Green & Black) at More Than Favors with Paula. Smooches...

Inking It Up Crazy DT - "Cricutless Challenge"
Hello My Friends,
It seems like forever since I've posted. I miss yall. Things have been a lot hectic around here lately, but that's called "LIFE", I guess. My Birthday month is over :-| , so now it's onto Me & DH Anniversary this Sunday. Whew, just one celebration after another. That's how I like it! Keeps me in good spirits.
Anyhew enough of my rambling... It's Design Team Day with Inking It Up Crazy. We were asked to do a "Cricutless" project. I can crank those out in a jiffy. After all it's what I used to do long before I knew anything about a cricut. Nice to know I'm not sooo handicapped by the Cricut and that I haven't forgotten from whence my original crafting came from...(lol). Here's my card that I sort of created to be a masculine card. DH says that it could certainly go for a male card. See.., that's just one of the reasons why I Love Him.
We hope you will join us on this challenge. Head on over to "Inking It Up Crazy" and get some inspiration from the rest of this Fabulous Team and get in on the fun. We'd love to see your "work of heart". Smooches...
p.s. I'm also entering this into the Birthday Sundaes challenge. "Birthday Card" (must use Ribbon)

Something Wicked This Way Comes...
Hi There My Friends,
I wanted to share this Fun Halloween Card I made. I didn't even know what I was going to do at first. I just started cutting and putting papers together and then the mojo kicked in and "voila". My finished product. This is being entered into the Market Street Block Party - "Anything goes; must use MSS". This is my first entry with MSS for their Block Party challenge. I really love their stamps and who wouldn't; they are manufactured by one of The Best; "Peachy Keen Stamps".
In addition, the layout of this card was inspired by the one & only Peachy Keen Tuesday Challenge 61.

SKETCH w/ a TWIST:
Use TWINE or EMBROIDERY FLOSS
This was my take on the challenge and I added a Flip to the Twist. I really liked how this turned out, I hope you do to and I was sooo happy to be able to combine two of The Best Companies out there with my entry.
Recipe:
Papers: K & Company (Halloween), Recollections
Tools: Market Street Stamps (Cane), Martha Stewart (Drippy Goo Punch), EK Scalloped Punch, White Gel Pen, Inkadinkado (Monster Bash/Wicket Stamp Sets), Sharpie for coloring image.
Embellies: Brad (Walmart), Stickers (Target), Ribbon (Joann's), Bling (stash)
p.s. I almost forgot, I saw on some other favorite blogs of mine that my project would also fit their current challenges. This card is also being added to the following other challenges:
Creative Cutter Room - "Fall/Halloween" Theme; must include 3 elements: Faux or Real Stitching, Ribbon, Sticker(s).
Whimsical Wednesdays - "Anything Goes"
There is some GREAT inspiration on all of these blogs. If you have time come join in with the rest of us. Even if you're just stopping by, I still would love to read a comment from you. Smooches...
