Life's A Beach

Heeeey My Friends,
Wowza! Can you believe it! I'm back with another post. That makes 3 in one day. I can't believe it myself. Well, as long as the juices keep flowing, I'll just go with the flow. I'm still practicing my coloring. I'm learning that if you don't keep it up then you won't get better at it. I don't know anything about the proper techniques to use, but I darn show know how to color in the lines. That's all that counts for me right now...lol. Anyhew, here is my colored digi image which I got from Sassy Studio Designs - "Beach Resort Sassy".I'm entering this into the following challenges:
Sassy Studio Designs (DTBST) - "Hit the Beach Challenge" [Oops Missed this one, looks like the Inlinkz closed a little earlier than 11:59est which is what I thought]
Brown Sugar Challenge - "Black & White with a Splash of Color"
The Scrapbooking Queen - "Anything Goes...create a card with a Digi Image"
Jackson's Digital Expressions - "Anything Goes..."
The sentiments are from Pink by Design - "Flirty Girl" & "Shop-A-Holic", Docerela Creations - "Summertime". Hope you like. I have a lot more in store. Scrap you later...

CDACPC6 - Final Progressive Challenge #6 1 of 3

Hi There My Friends,
I can't believe the Final CDAC-Progressive Challenge #6 is Here! I almost didn't complete this one, but I mustard up enough energy to get it done. I've been a bit under the weather lately and I'm trying every remedy I know to keep it (what ever it is) from taking over completely. I believe it may be a combination of things (strep throat, chest cold, sinus ache) and I'm doing my best to keep my little two year old from getting even the slightest bit of it. It's hard being a SAHM for a bit, but so far she's doing great. I'm am miserable to say the least. I am one that does not get sick very often if ever. Anyhew, before I cough my chest open and head off, let me get in these few posts. The theme for this time around is "Winter Wonders". These were some awesome digital stamps to work with . I will have a link to the artist under each post. Here is my first one.
This 1st image for the CDACPC6 is from Inked Treasures (inkedtreasures)
All I can say is that I am definitely going to have to take up some copic lessons. I love how this came out, but I also wish I knew how to incorporate those shading techniques and other tips and tricks I've seen. It will be practice, practice, practice from here on out. Hope you like too. Smooches...

CDACPC6 - Final Progressive Challenge #6 2 of 3

Here is my 2nd entry for the CDACPC#6. I had fun playing with this image and couldn't help but bling it up a bit. My thought behind this one was that he was Santa's helper in flying around helping to deliver gifts or flying around to see who's naughty or nice (lol).

This 2nd image for the CDACPC6 is from Ellephantastic (ELLE)

CDACPC6 - Final Progressive Challenge #6 3 of 3

This last image I used, I can see myself using this a lot for tags or accents on layouts. I was glad to see something with the use of candles. As you can see I tried my best to incorporate some copic coloring techniques. This image will sure get a workout from me over the holidays. I hope I get better soon. I just don't have that much energy to sit in my craft area and I'm not liking it one bit. I hope you enjoy and take time to come over to CDAC and see what going on over there. This challenge was soooo much fun. I'm glad I did at least try and get some practice in on coloring even if I don't win. It would be so awesome if I did though. My 10 little copics won't get me far as I'd like (lol).
This 3rd image for the CDACPC6 is from Daisy Doodles (daisydoodles)

CDAC - Progressive Challenge #5 1 of 2

Hi My Friends,
I'm coming into the home stretch with the CDAC Progressive Challenges. There will be one more after this one. The winner will receive a 12-set of Copic Markers. I can't certainly use them. I think the 8 that I have, have been getting more than their share of a work out (lol). The theme for this weeks challenge was "Festive and Fancy". There were a lot of images for us to choose from, but this time I chose to only use two which I thought would be perfect for some upcoming gifts I need to do.
This 1st image for the CDACPC5 is from Digis by Phooka(DBP)
When I saw this image I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them and these will be great for mass producing. I use Copics and my Bic Sharpies. I really had fun with this image. The sentiment is from MCT Set "All Around Christmas". The paper is DCWV (last year christmas stack), Ribbon (Stash). Who knows, you just may be seeing this again in some other projects. <wink> Smooches...

CDAC - Progressive Challenge #5 2 of 2

Here is the second image I chose to use from the CDAC5 Progressive Challenge. This image will definitely gets some use. I do like to bake a lot around the holidays so adding this to the delicious package of goodies will make it that more yummy.
This CDACPC5 image is from DigiDrawn
I adhered one set of cookies directly to the tag and pop dotted the other ones up. I did some Distressing with T. Holtz inks on the tag (Scattered Straw, Broken China, Antique Linen, Pumice Stone). Then I misted it with some Perfect Pearls. The sentiment is from my stash that I put together. Smooches...

I can see myself doing a lot more of these. I used my BIC Sharpies, MS Glitter Pens and some Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Spiced Marmalade, Scattered Straw, Fired Brick, Mustard Seed). I'll also be entering this in My Sheri Crafts - "It's The Great Pumpkin".

Link Up for Pink & D2D Progressive Challenge - "Hope"

Good Morning Friends,
Well by the time some of you read this. I will be on the road traveling with family. I hope to return by or before Friday. While I'm gone, I've left my Blogger Genie in charge of making sure you don't miss me too much and my posts go up as planned. I won't have much computer access and there's only so much a girl can do on her cell phone (lol). Here is a card I made for two challenges. D2D Progressive challenge this week is "Hope". What a beautiful image this is and I {heart} Butterflies. Also Link Up for Pink over on Gaby Creates is having a Huge Linking Party for a special cause, "Breast Cancer".  Head on over there and look at all the beautiful inspiration there and read about the details of the Linking Party. Hopefully you'll have time to join in on this wonderful cause. Smooches...
The sentiments are from MCT - "Inspiring Words". Those Beautiful Butterflies are the Free Stamp of the month for October over at Designed 2 Delight.

D2D Weekly Progressive Challenge - "Patches"

Hi Friends,
I gotta be real quick about this one because this is the very last minute I'm getting this in. I can't believe I almost missed it. Here is my weekly D2D project of "Patches the Ghost". If you're not familiar with these type of challenges, head on over to Designed 2 Delight's blog and read all about. Join in on the Fun. Everybody Wins!

I used my colored pencils this time. I'm really trying to learn how to use them, but I guess it takes practice. I love my BIC sharpie markers much better especially since I can use a copic blender pen with them. It's definitely less expensive. The Saturday Designer's Challenge at D2D called for the use of colored pencils on a Digi Image so I combined the two. Hope you like it. Can't wait to see what we have for next week. I'm also entering this into the Wacky Wednesday Challenge - (Use Colors: Purple, Orange, Green & Black) at More Than Favors with Paula. Smooches...

CDAC - Progressive Challenge Entry 2 of 2

Here is my other CDAC Progressive Challenge - Fall/Autumn Theme Entry. Hope you like this one too. I created the Fall Leaf background myself using my SU inks and a Fall Leaf stamp from TPC Studio "Autumn Harvest" stamps. My apologies if the pics are not too clear. I'll have to check that my lighting is better next time before uploading. Smooches...

D2D Progressive Challenge - Fall/Autumn Mums

Hi There My Friends,
THANK YOU ALL FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES, It was Sooo Sweet of you to remember ME!...Muwah, Muwah!!!
I'm winding down from my Birthday Month celebration (whew..., it's been a True BLAST!), but I didn't want to leave it without getting in some more posts. This one is my weekly Designed 2 Delight's challenge - Autumn Mums. There have been internet issues going on in a rampage the last few days and I know we've all been affected in some way. Uggghhh, internet and phone lines are down in my area. ETA should be this by this Saturday so... AT&T says. I sit here in Starbucks trying to get in my uploads because of all the chaos. Not a bad place to be if you ask me...lol. Here is my project submission for this challenge.
I really loving coloring these digi images. They are soooo addictive. I used several different markers on these: MS Glitter Pens, Marvy, Bic UF Sharpies & Metallics. These are sooo cool. I did Treat Myself to some COPICS for the very FIRST Time during my B-Day Month, but I'm too afraid to used them yet and I only have about 6 useful colors out of the 8 I have. I think I need more practice and the sharpies and other markers are helping me learn along the way. I also use MCT "Big XL Die" as an inset window for my flowers and the "oval stitched die". DH allowed me to completely spoil myself, with his help of course...lol I know I went overboard. No more shopping until Black Friday for me. I hope I can stick to that(LOL).  D2D has extended their challenge this week because of the issues going on in Blogger Land, so you still have time to join us. Smooches...

CDAC - Progressive Challenge Entry 1 of 3

Hi There My Friends,
It's ME again! Wow 3 posts in 1 day. Am I on a roll or what...lol. I learned of this new site a while ago, but just got around to entering their challenges. This is certainly a stamp blog for Digi scrappers. I'm new to the arena and don't have all the fancy tools like everyone else may have. I'm pacing myself because I want to make sure I'm completely in love before taking the plunge of getting copics, blender pens, refills...etc. Like I need another reason for spending money. I do it BIG or not at all when it comes to my scrapping tools and interest. I just wish my pockets were bigger to afford my insane compulsion...don't we all (lol). Anyhew, the challenge over at Crafter's Digital Art Center-CDAC is "Back to School" theme. Being that it is a progressive challenge, the more you enter the more free digis you get to continue with the challenges. The Grand Prize is a set of Copic Markers. This would be a Super Duper Gift for my Birthday Month celebration if I win. This way I can try without having to buy. There were quite a few images we could use on this challenge, but only one entry is required. You can enter up to 3 digi projects of your choice from the digis given. I did my coloring with colored pencils and some Ultra Fine Bic Markers that I found in some amazing colors.
